Step Into Alabama’s Fastest-Growing Soccer League!

Birmingham Premier League began with 4 teams and a mission to create meaningful, organized soccer for adults. Founded by Don-Allen Ruttenberg in 2007, today, it hosts 14 teams, 500+ players, and promotes growth, consistency, and community through sport.

Our Mission

At BPL, our mission is to create a structured, competitive environment where adults can play the game they love without pressure or pretense. It’s about showing up, playing hard, and finding joy in the game again. And yes, we stand by our motto—when you win, the beer really does taste better!
